OpH218 Benchtop pH Meter – Calomel Uncombined Pack

This non-combined pack is composed of the OpH218 pH meter from OrigaLys, a non-combined pH electrode, a Calomel reference electrode and two cables to connect the electrodes to the pH meter.

Thanks to its intuitive operation, the OpH218 has been specially designed for teaching. Very practical and with a 5-year warranty (excluding consumables), it will perfectly complement an existing fleet of pH meters because its interface was created by the engineers of the old Radiometer pH meters.

pH Electrodes

The pH measurement of an acidic, neutral, basic solution is based on the potential difference between a glass electrode and a reference electrode (Hg, Hg / HgO or Ag / AgCl). This signal is proportional to the activity of the H + ions, according to Nernst’s law.

The combined pH electrode brings together, in one body, a glass electrode and a reference electrode.

Reference Electrodes

A reference electrode has a constant potential regardless of the measurement conditions. The main difference between reference electrodes is the nature of the reference element and the type of electrolytic junction. OrigaLys offers you reference electrodes with Calomel (Hg), Mercuric Oxide (Hg / HgO) and Silver / Silver Chloride (Ag / AgCl).

Temperature Probe

For pH and ionic concentration measurements by selective electrodes and for conductivity measurements, the use of a temperature probe is recommended because the result depends on the measurement temperature.
