SR Series Spectrometer

Optimized for Performance and Versatility

Ocean SR2’s combination of speed (integration times to 10 µs) and SNR (380:1) provides application versatility without the typical trade-offs. Ocean SR2 spectrometers are well suited for applications including laser characterization, plasma monitoring, and absorbance measurements that benefit from the instrument’s high SNR performance.

Ocean SR2 spectrometers are compact, lightweight and optimized for best performance. Ocean SR2 is compatible with Ocean Insight light sources, accessories and software, allowing users to customize setups for different applications and sampling requirements.

HL-2000-HP-FHSA Light Source

Ocean Insight offers sturdy, reliable tungsten halogen light sources to meet your application requirements. From high-power to long-lifetime models, our HL-2000 product family provides flexibility for your lab for measurements from 360-2400 nm.

All HL-2000 models have an integrated fan to keep source cool and stable, and a built-in holder that accommodates filters for conditioning the light. Some models include an integrated shutter and long-lifetime bulb. A universal power supply makes setup quick and easy.

DH-2000-BAL Light Source

The DH-2000-BAL uses innovative filtering technology to produces a smooth spectrum across entire UV-NIR range. This technology also eliminates the alpha deuterium line in the visible region. Using a combination of deuterium and halogen lamps, the DH-2000 is ideal for measuring a sample that has multiple features in different spectral regions or for analyzing a variety of different samples in your lab.

All deuterium sources have an alpha line, a sharp spectral feature centered at 655 nm. This feature and other deuterium lines produce “unbalanced” output in the deuterium and halogen sources. Simply adjusting the integration time of the spectrometer to suppress the alpha line does not solve the problem as the efficiency of the system at UV wavelengths drops significantly, compromising signal-to-noise performance.
