Universal Cutting Mill – variable speed 300-3000 rpm Pulverisette 19 LARGE/Pulverisette 19

Due to the variable rotational speed adjustment in increments of hundred between 300 and 3000 rpm you can fine tune the comminution process for each sample within a very wide range of applications. The high-speed Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 with a torque of up to 30 Nm comminutes dry, soft to medium-hard sample materials and fibrous materials and plastics with reliable reproducible results with a maximum feed size of 70 x 80 mm and a throughput of up to 60 l/h.
One special advantage: Straw, films and similar materials can be fed in up to their full length without additional preparation. And the PULVERISETTE 19 is also ideal for RoHS tests. Due to Clean Design of the PULVERISETTE 19, it is easy to clean and offers a safe protection against cross-contamination.

The sample material is comminuted according to the cutting principle of scissors between the cutting edges of the rotor and the fixed knives in the grinding chamber until the desired final fineness is achieved. Unique grinding chamber geometry: The grinding chamber is designed with minimal dead space and progressive cutting geometry between rotor and fixed knives. The sample material is continuously moved during comminution and cannot settle anywhere. In conjunctions with the special air flow, this is the basis for swift, blockage-free operation and fast cleaning without residue.

The Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 is equipped with a flywheel mass to stabilize the drive torque. This ensures stable operation even for extreme short-term load, as well as an optimal comminution result.

The PULVERISETTE 19 with voltage of “/3~”can only be operated on a three-phase supply network.
Despite the frequency converter, the three-phase version “/3~” is definitely preferable instead of a single-phase version “/1~”, because the three-phase version achieves a higher torque mass and pulling power.

The single-phase versions of the Universal Cutting Mills PULVERISETTE 19 also have an especially maintenance-free three-phase motor with a frequency converter.

FUNNELS

The PULVERISETTE 19 can either be used with a funnel for long and bulk solids made of plastic or stainless steel 316L for feeding materials at their full length or a protected funnel made of stainless steel with a plastic sample pusher for all other materials.

COLLECTING VESSELS MADE OF STAINLESS STEEL 316L

A collection vessel with 3 litres volume is available. For the comminution of larger amounts the collection vessel 10 litre volume is recommended.
Collection vessels are also available in further sizes.

CUTTING TOOL SETS

The PULVERISETTE 19 can either be equipped with a Rotor with V-cutting edges and fixed knives or rotor with straight cutting edges and fixed knives, or rotor with notched edges and fixed knives or disk milling cutter rotor with indexable inserts and fixed knives.
By selecting the material of the cutting tool sets and sieve cassettes, the abrasion properties can also be individually accommodated. Details about cutting rotors and materials are found in the element analysis.

SIEVE CASSETTES MADE OF STAINLESS STEEL 316L

Sieve cassettes determine the fineness of a sample. Sieve cassettes with trapezoidal and square perforations are offered. Sieve cassettes with trapezoidal perforations improve size reduction through extra shearing action. Sieve cassettes with square perforations are used for the grinding of brittle materials and materials of medium fineness with a narrow grain band.
Sieve cassettes are also available in further perforations.

ACCESSORIES FOR CHROMIUM-FREE COMMINUTION

When chromium-free size reduction is required for sample preparation according to RoHS – for example for verification of hexavalent chromium – or for XRF analysis, FRITSCH cutting tool sets of chromium-free tool steel and sieve cassettes made of chromium-free steel DC01 offer absolute assurance.

SAMPLE EXHAUSTION WITH CYCLONE SEPARATORS

The patented combination of the Universal-Cutting Mill with the high-performance Cyclone separator and the small volume Cyclone separator enables a simple cleaning and feeding, the use of finer sieve cassettes for achieving a higher final fineness, increases the throughput and reduces the thermal load of the samples – even for materials, which are otherwise difficult to grind.

STANDS

An universal support stand, a support stand made of stainless steel and a support stand with wheels are available. The stands offer a solid, space-saving and spatially variable basis for the mill.
