They are a family company with headquarters and production in Dortmund. Their company develops, produces and sells materials testing machines for plastics, composites, elastomers and other mineral oil products worldwide. For more than 50 years, they stand for customer orientation and consistency. In 1968, their company was founded by Adolf Coesfeld as a service provider for maintenance and repair of temperature control devices. The market for special customer requirements was quickly recognized and a production facility for individual customer solutions was set up. A product portfolio of own products and trading products gradually developed from this. Today their company is still in family hands and run in its third generation. The business is divided into their production of standard products and their project business for custom-made products. In 2013, they founded their subsidiary PRL – Polymer Research Lab to independently offer contract measurements and services for material development. Coesfeld Materialtest sees itself as a solution provider. They develop their test devices from mechanical construction to device control and software.
