Stanhope-Seta JetDC: Expanding Fuel Property Testing with IP 638

Stanhope-Seta announces the integration of IP 638 (JetDC) within the framework of ASTM D4054, reinforcing its role in the evaluation of aviation turbine fuels, including conventional and synthetic blend components.

The JetDC 88500-0 is an advanced automated benchtop instrument capable of simultaneously determining relative permittivity, density, and temperature in less than 15 minutes. With defined measurement ranges of 1.9–2.4 for relative permittivity and 680.6–876.7 kg/m³ for density, the system ensures accurate, repeatable results with minimal operator involvement.
By supporting reliable assessment of synthetic aviation fuels and ensuring their compatibility with conventional jet fuel properties, JetDC contributes to the industry’s transition toward sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) while upholding safety and performance standards.
